Job description

I am currently recruiting a Capital Programme Manager for my client. This is a Permanent role, the location is flexible however travel to London will be required as and when.

The main purpose of the role will be to oversee and co-ordinate the successful delivery of new health facilities within the LIFT/PPP environment as well major variations to the existing property portfolio.


* Responsible for the successful delivery of the regional variation programme.
* Deputise for the Developments Director responsible for major variations.
* To act as subject matter expert for variation related matters.
* To provide strategic direction, leadership and advice with regards to all variations to existing LIFT buildings supervising a team of project managers (in-house and outsourced).
* To ensure the highest level of professional integrity and performance is maintained throughout the variations team.
* To assume the role of Project Manager for designated variations as agreed.

New Build

* Responsible for the successful delivery of the regional new build programme.
* Leadership of a team of project directors (in-house and outsourced)
* Expected to be a major contributor to corporate and strategic matters sitting on various boards and committees as required

In order to be considered for this role you will require:


* Educated to degree level or equivalent in a related technical discipline with at least five years post qualification experience.
* Experience of delivering projects in a PPP/PFI environment, preferably within LIFT.
* Experience of managing a multi-disciplinary team of professionals.
* Demonstrable understanding and experience of working with the public sector (NHS, education, local government).
* Confident in managing complex relationships with good negotiation and influencing skills.
* Ability to interpret financial models assessing inputs, outputs and cost/benefit.
* Continual personal and professional development.


* APM/MSP/PRINCE2 practitioner.
* Property development experience.
* Experience of PFI standard contracts (and NHS LIFT LPA/LRA).
* Financial/commercial management.
* Previous use of PPM software
* PMO experience
