Chippenham/London
£70,000 per annum + performance bonus

Anderselite are currently seeking a professional, motivated and capable Rail Business Manager with full profit and loss responsibility to assist one of our clients in their Rail Systems and Business unit.
The role encompasses developing the business unit strategy, delivering sales through key accounts, recruitment, staff management and project delivery. The successful candidate will also be expected to work with the board to identify and develop operational improvements to the company infrastructure

Responsibilities:
Business development;

The definition of the rail business unit sales strategy and sales plan as agreed with the Board.
The delivery of sales targets as defined within the annual rail business unit sales plan.
The identification of potential customers and visiting them to develop new business.
Client Management;
The maintenance and development of relationships with existing customers via meetings, telephone calls and email.
The monitoring of progress of projects with the customer, gaining feedback on our performance and taking action to rectify any shortfall in performance.
The understanding of clients' business plans / needs to identify how to best support each customer in the future including the identification of skills and expertise required and potential new service line opportunities.
Project Delivery and Line Management:
The delivery of all projects within the rail business unit to ensure they are:
Appropriately staffed
Will deliver on time
Will deliver to budget
Meet the required quality levels for all work
People Management:
The creation of a rail business unit resource plan each year identifying the number of staff and types of skills required to meet the planned sales and revenue targets.
The recruitment of staff according to the resourcing plan.
The allocation of staff to projects to ensure successful delivery of projects and optimum staff utilisation across the company.
The management of technical staff.
Business Unit Management:
The management of budgets including: sales, marketing, recruitment and staff.
Ensuring that profit targets are met.
The reporting of business unit performance to the board on a monthly basis.
The communication of business unit strategy, plans, results and other information to staff.
