Business Analyst
Contract | £350 per day

Hertfordshire

A brand new, exciting opportunity for a Business Analyst to be based in Hertfordshire on a contract basis! The successful candidate will be responsible for defining and documenting business requirements and processes, shape opportunities and ensure that the technology/solution is effectively delivered and embedded to meet business goals.

Key Responsibilities:

Define business problems and primary objectives of new projects

Identify, validate and challenge functional and non-functional requirements

Ensure solutions align with enterprise architecture and strategy

Facilitate the negotiation of scope and requirements with multiple stakeholders

Map business processes, workflows and interactions between roles and systems

Run workshops, formal and informal meetings for information gathering

Participate in IT project work as required.

Ensure adherence to and compliance with all company and IT policies and procedures.

Build effective relationships with stakeholders, sponsors and work stream heads to elicit requirements and represent the benefit IT can bring to the business

Perform feasibility studies, impact assessments, gap analysis and contribute to the business case

Be responsible for a portfolio of analysis work across different business areas or varying size and complexity

Candidate Specification:

An IIBA or BCS Foundation qualification in Business Analysis

Knowledge of Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC)

Experience in data modelling, interface mapping

Knowledge of Waterfall and Agile methodologies

Participative style when working with others and ability to build strong, productive team relationships.

Good self-discipline, including a willingness to observe technical standards and a commitment to effective documentation.

Skilled in modelling processes techniques (BPMN, Workflows, Swim lanes, Sequence diagrams)
