Job description

I am currently looking to recruit an Associate Operations Director (Multi-Utilities) to join a very well established Utility Infrastructure Provider based in Northamptonshire.

This is a key role within the business and presents an opportunity to join an expanding commercial team.

The successful candidate will be responsible for the follow...

  • Reporting to the Managing Director
  • Take responsibility and initiative in smooth running of the Multi-Utility Installation operations
  • Must be well organised, calm under pressure, take ownership of issues and allow others to take ownership when appropriate
  • Operations are split into two Regions (East and West), each Region having a Regional Manager and a team of office staff and operational operatives both direct labour and sub-contractors
  • Responsible for planning, installing, commissioning and signing off of all utility installations
  • Create a department strategic plan which complies with and enhances the company-wide strategic plan and business plan
  • Working with your peer Directors, Technical, Financial and Corporate Services
  • Provide effective team and project management duties, including overseeing project completion timelines, site supervision, monitoring project costs, and ensuring client needs are met
  • Continuously reshape department best practices to provide highest client satisfaction
  • Liaise with all other company departments, to ensure operations budgets, utility company specifications are met
  • Maintain strong relationships with any third-parties (vendors, financial institutions, suppliers, accreditation bodies) to ensure smooth procurement and delivery of products and services
  • Provide assistance in driving sales and business goals
  • Provide outstanding leadership to team members, including opportunities for coaching and development, to maximise work output and work quality
  • Identify patterns and problem areas, and implement effective solutions to increase efficiency
  • Report regularly to Managing Director with completed on-budget and on-time projects and project outcomes
