Job description

My client is currently looking to recruit an Associate Director - Property and workplace strategy. They specialise in providing a range of consultancy services to clients across the country.

Your role as Associate Director will be varied and often complex and will rely on your knowledge and experience of strategic portfolio, workplace and agile working projects to provide expert advisory services to senior level client stakeholders.

You will also take responsibility for managing these projects with the support of the wider team, providing a structured client account management service.

You will be responsible for business development, possibly building on your existing contacts, in the South East of the UK keeping the pipeline full for the team to progress with, as well as managing the team to properly ensure they are allocated and fee earning.

Their clients are based across the UK and therefore candidates must be able to travel.

  • Excellent interpersonal skills, confident and able to gain clients confidence through knowledge, competence and gravitas.
  • Previous experience of business development in the workplace design/office relocations or management consulting fields.
  • Experience of working with large complex organisations in a property/workplace team; experience of working with senior management.
  • Project Management experience in a workplace strategy and design environment with a demonstrable track record in delivering projects with for occupiers.
  • An understanding of finance principles and business relating to fee proposals.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills including ability to process and manage complex data sets
  • Strong written, verbal, visual communication skills
  • Ability to lead workshops, focus groups and presentations
  • Strong visualisation & conceptual design skills
  • Sound working knowledge of; -
    • MS Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Project,
  • An understanding of flexible/agile work styles and the technology required to enable the same, along with a willingness to adopt these principles in your own work.
  • Good team player skills.
  • Good presentation skills including use of appropriate presentation software.
  • Experience of preparing reports and presenting analysis in a business context to non-financial senior management.

You will be:

A self-starter, ambitious and conscientious individual who seeks to excel at what they do; Must be client focussed and have previous experience of working for and/or in a client's workplace/property/ real estate team with at least 8-10 years relevant experience in this field. Must be flexible in their outlook and be able to multi-task to accommodate the very varying clients, projects and day to day activities necessary within the company.
