Job description

We are currently looking for an Associate/Associate director looking to make the step into a Director role or an established Director looking for an exciting new challenge.

You will be responsible for supporting/leading design across the Architectural Studio, adding value by inspiring a better level of design in order to raise the practice profile of an already successful business.

Candidates who have a track record of design delivery, winning work and the ability to bring ideas will thrive in this practice.

Key Responsibilities

Project Delivery

Responsible for the successful delivery of multiple projects that meet high quality standards for major national clients in the Finance and Retail sectors.

Provides leadership and oversees the entire project process, maintaining involvement throughout.

Proactively manages existing client relationships and ensures that opportunities for repeat work are maximised as well as being able to generate new business from new clients in existing/new sectors.

Team Leadership

Promotes and fosters a collaborative environment in which innovation is encouraged and best practice shared.

Works with fellow Directors to build and foster strong teams, leading and mentoring junior colleagues to support their professional development.

Client Relationships

Operates as the primary point of contact for clients, making significant contributions during client meetings and presentations.

Identifies and leverages opportunities to promote company profile.

Works with fellow Directors to develop new business.

Prepares fee bids, and fee proposals for projects.

Budget Control

Demonstrates a thorough understanding of cost control, fee charging and project finance.

Education, Skills and Experience Required

5 years post qualification in a degree related design field or equivalent certification or skill level; professional registration is preferred.

Experience in delivering projects in the Finance and Retail sectors amoungst others.

Proficiency with computer applications commonly used within the individual's discipline; proficiency in AutoCAD and Revit is essential as well as BIM.

Experience of leading people and teams, with a proven ability to lead and inspire others.

Excellent presentation skills.

Proven client management and business development skills.
