Anderselite are recruiting on behalf of a tier one contractor, for an area planner on a prestigious nuclear site in Cumbria.
The BEP Joint Venture project will safely design and deliver a Plant and the works in accordance with the requirements of the contract to enable conditioning of wastes from the various donor plants, carried out in line with the Employer’s needs and to the satisfaction of stakeholders in the Box Encapsulation Project (BEP).

Job Description:

Planning Engineer reporting to the Planning Manager and supporting the Project Controls Manager. Responsible for the scheduling and integration of EPCC deliverables into the BEP programme in line with BEP project controls procedures. Accountable for timely assessment and monitoring of area specific self-delivery and subcontract schedules and their reflection in the Live Schedule.

Project Activities
Carry out monthly schedule update with the engineering and procurement team incorporating progress from vendor programmes into the BEP live programme. Attend Plan of the Week meetings with area project team to facilitate early identification of risks / opportunities. Maintain a robust and integrated EPCC schedule.
Ensure the KPI for the timely acceptance / non acceptance of vendor programmes is maintained
Review vendor programmes submitted in support of Compensation Events and carry out substantiated impact assessments
Prepare package progress reports for the Package Manager

•Working with in a JV environment
•5 years’ experience of working within a highly regulated industry, 2 of which must have been gained within the nuclear industry.
•Site Based Construction and Fit Out Experience essential. Experience on Sellafield Site
advantageous.
•Experienced of project planning for projects over £50M in value.
•Must have hands-on experience with resource loading and earned value management using Primavera P6 Professional.
