Position: Architectural Technologist or Part 3

Location: Just outside Chelmsford

Salary: Competitive depending on experience

Description:

I am currently working with a well-established family owned medium size practice based in the beautiful countryside of North West Essex. They have a vast experience in all types of construction in the surrounding areas. This includes, as well as normal new build projects, many repairs and refurbishments to historic and listed buildings, both privately and publicly owned.

My client is looking for an enthusiastic and talented Architectural Technologist or Part 3 to join their practice. The right candidate for this role will manage their own projects from start to completion with minimal supervision from a director.

Essential:

  • A wide range of Architectural skills, passion for the industry and a good eye for detail
  • Proficiency in hand sketching, AutoCAD, Sketchup and Microsoft Office tools are essential where any skills in Rhino.
  • Strong passion for design and attention to detail is essential.
  • Experience in the residential sector and must have a understanding of work on both modern and historic buildings.
  • Knowledge of modern and traditional construction techniques is essential along with the integration of these into planning, building regulations and on-site construction.
  • An understanding of general planning policies and strategies involved with basic and complex planning applications.
  • UK Driving licence is required.

Desirable:

  • Revit, 3d modelling and 3d printing skills would be beneficial.
  • Contract administration skills should be demonstrated along with an understanding of delivering projects within the proactive budget and the construction budget.
  • Be able to demonstrate job running skills including co-ordinating technicians, dealing with multiple projects, overseeing planning applications, dealing with clients from brief to completion and dealing with onsite queries over the phone and on site.
