Their Archaeology and Heritage Team is now looking for a Senior Archaeology and Heritage Consultant to join the Team in Gloucestershire to help deliver their expanding portfolio of interesting, diverse and challenging projects throughout England and Wales.

As a Heritage Consultant you will research and prepare desk-based assessments, built heritage and setting assessments, impact assessments, environmental statements and other specialist reports as necessary (e.g. written schemes of investigation). You will provide advice to their clients in respect of all aspects of the planning process in relation to archaeological and heritage matters and undertake the management of archaeological fieldwork resourced from their external subcontractors.

As a Senior Consultant, you will ideally have both demonstrable experience in an archaeological fieldwork role (or the knowledge and ability to design, commission and manage the completion of programmes of archaeological work) and a proven track record in heritage consultancy. You will not only provide technical project support to the wider Archaeology and Heritage team, but also bring significant experience to the business across a range of project types and scales.

You will have an enthusiasm for multi-disciplinary projects, but more importantly be enthusiastic regarding the opportunities to work with their clients, other Project Managers and members of the team. However, most of all, you will provide solution-focused and pragmatic advice to their clients on a wide variety of archaeology and heritage projects and deliver high quality technical outputs to inform and support a range of development proposals.

The successful candidate will be positive, proactive, client focussed, and be committed to maintaining their expertise through internal and external training and research and ideally be at least an Associate member of the CIfA .
