Job Description
Our client is a Global multi-disciplinary engineering consultancy that offers full technical and management services to public and private clients across many sectors. They currently have a PERMANENT opening for a SENIOR ELECTRICAL BUILDING SERVICES ENGINEER in their EDINBURGH office. As SENIOR ELECTRICAL BUILDING SERVICES ENGINEER you will be working on a range of projects in sectors including Security, Education, Commercial, Scientific and Rail. Responsibilities include: - Leading the design for small/medium projects - Leading a design team or an integral part of a larger design team used on the more substantial project teams. - Liaising with clients, architects and other design team members - Maintaining technical quality with the ability to deliver projects on time - Ensuring project financial performance - Develop and maintaining excellent client relationships - Support business development initiatives It is essential for applicants to meet the following criteria: - Extensive experience in the design of building services in Commercial and Public Sector projects. - Experience in leading Electrical Building Services design of small/medium projects. - Acting in a leadership capacity on technical design issues. - Competent in the use and understanding of Computer design calculation programs such as HEAVComp and Amtech - Experience in applying low/zero carbon design techniques - Proven ability to work as part of a team, liaising directly with clients, architects and other design team members - HND or Degree and AMIET/ACIBSE or MIET/MCIBSE. - Responsibility for technical quality
