Job Description
Senior Development Geologist Required-Aberdeen
Reporting to the Subsurface Team Leader, a role has arisen for a Senior Development Geologist .The successful candidate will be responsible for all geological aspects of field development including management and supervision of sub-contractors providing specialist services to the team.
The Role The primary function of this role will be construction and maintenance of fully integrated 3D geological models for use in reservoir simulation. These models will form the basis for planning, design and optimising well drilling programs and field development plans, as well as the technical input to reserve and economic evaluations.
The Geologist will be expected to work closely with Geophysicists, Petroleum and Reservoir Engineers to integrate geological, production and engineering data into the models, all of which will be used to meet company production and forecasting targets.
Qualifications The applicant will be expected to work within a multi-disciplinary team. A good Geology degree, preferably to MSc level, a strong background in field development geology coupled with up-to-date geo modelling skills and high level of familiarity with the UK North Sea is essential. Familiarity with the relevant geological applications (Petrel preferred) and a broad experience with well planning, appraisal and development studies are essential.
