Job Description
The Company is one of the world's leading rail engineering consultancies. Its rail business is the largest in its field in
Europe. The job involves developing The Company business in the area of rail vehicles asset management, and growing a team of engineers in line with market demand.
Additionally, the job holder will contribute to delivering our growing workload in risk/reliability assessment of rail and other safety critical systems. This may involve the use of techniques such as Failure Mode, Effect and Criticality Analysis and Fault Tree development through to System Availability modelling, risk analysis and risk-based maintenance/renewal planning.
Responsibilities The successful applicant will have the opportunity for developing and marketing specialist asset management services to the rail vehicles market covering manufacturers, ROSCOs, TOCs, FOCs and other light rail/metro organisations in the UK and overseas to generate revenue in excess of ?250k per annum. The job provides the opportunity to provide both direction and workload for a team of up to 10 engineers. This will involve engaging and delivering risk, reliability and asset management consultancy projects in an efficient and robust manner. You will also be responsible for the overall project management and successful delivery of projects to meet agreed quality, cost and time parameters (working in accordance with the The Company Business Management System). Experienced engineer who has developed a specialist expertise in the risk/reliability assessment of rail vehicles, whilst maintaining a broad understanding of all rail systems and their interaction. You will have had extensive experience of working within a safety management / reliability management role; often leading and managing these areas of work as part of a major project.
