Job Description
Our client, a leading Civil Engineering contractor is currently seeking to recruit a Project Manager for its ?10 million highways/ urban regeneration works in
Central London. Working near many of the City's most popular tourist attractions, the works will involve crating a single surface along this busy road/ area to allow greater accessibility and flow of traffic in the run up to the 2012 games.
Duties of the role will include:
To profitably complete projects in accordance with the clients specifications and to ensure client satisfaction where possible Plan resources and ensure any shortfalls / over re-sourcing issues are resolved in a timely and cost effective manner Coordinate and manage any interface with other parts of the division Ensure all personnel within your control including subcontractors work in accordance with the company policies, are trained, competent and aware and in particular work safely Jointly prepare project Cost Value Reports & Contract Status Reports with commercial staff Liaison with estimating to provide value engineering expertise, lessons learnt etc to allow the division to submit quality, competitive tenders to our clients To deliver project schemes profitably and to time to enhance our client?s reputation and look to further business
Candidates will come from a main contracting background and have experience in bridges, highways and rail.
