Job Description
The role is within a multi-task project environment with responsibility for all aspects of the design of electrical distribution systems for renewable energy projects from concept through to full design and management of installation and commissioning. This role will require liaison with clients, suppliers and contractors. The candidate will be chartered electrical engineer (MIET). The candidate will have substantial experience in the design of electrical power distribution (33 - 132kV) and design of sub-stations to NGET Standards including protection systems. It is essential that the candidate can demonstrate an awareness of Grid Code Compliance.
Ideally you will have experience in Subsea cable specification and installation methodology and/or calculation of energy losses within the distribution system.
The ideal candidate is likely to have been employed by a power utility or with a consulting practice with an internationally recognised HV power capability and preferably have experience in the wind farm market, either onshore or offshore. You will also need experience in implementation of CDM.
