Job Description
Planning Officer Temporary Contract
Our highly reputable client is looking to recruit a Planning Officer to join their team in either their Perth or Edinburgh offices. This position will initially be for a few months, with the possibility of being made permanent at the end of the contract.
The main purpose of the Planning Officer is to co-ordinate the development of our client's response to land use planning development control consultations and to assist in the development of their response to Development Plan consultants.
Other responsibilities of this role are:
To co-ordinate the clients response to development control and similar consultations, liaising appropriately with internal consultees and preparing and issuing formal responses
To assist in the management of the consultation process and attendant records and database
To provide support to other Planning Officers in the development of responses to Development Plan, SEA, EIA consultations
To liaise with planning authorities, maintaining and developing the client's interaction with the planning system
The ideal candidate would be educated to degree level in a related discipline, such as Town Planning or Environmental Planning and working towards RTPI status. In addition, will have experience in planning consultation work, either for a Local Authority or Private sector client.
In reward, you will be paid on a weekly basis on an excellent hourly rate of around £14.20 per hour with the possibility of time and a half overtime hours.
