Job Description
My Client is a public sector organisation who have recently embarked on a major capital project and are in the process of expanding into the new properties. As a result they are also reorganising the management structure and as such have identified the need for a Director of Facilities Management. This is a total FM role and you will be responsible for the efficient operation of both hard and soft services including the management of all services and processes that support the business ensuring the most suitable working environment for its employees. You will be involved in both strategic planning and day-to-day operations, particularly in relation to buildings and premises, and your responsibilities will include: Procurement and contract management Building and grounds maintenance Caretaking / cleaning Catering and vending Health and Safety Utilities and Communications infrastructure Maintenance / Estates Floor manager ? managing contracts Churn/layout Energy Management You must have detailed knowledge of the British and European building Health & Safety Legislation and a successful track record in Estates and Facilities Management. You will be familiar with Project Management of new build projects and be comfortable negotiating and costing large scale projects.
