Job Description
Our client, a leading project management consultancy is seeking to employ a Commissioning Manager to be based in
South Africa working on a prestigious Airport Project (project length to be between 12 to 18 months).
The government is spending over ?860m on investments in the area in preparation for the football World Cup, part of which is the build and commissioning of this
New
Airport.
The role will involve managing and coordinating al activities and resources (mainly technical) allocated to the Project for the testing, commissioning and start up stages. The duties of this role will involve:
- Correct management of all tests activities, ensuring the predefined results on time and within budget and with expected level of Quality.
- Compliance of the technical documentation for the commissioning to the contract specifications and check that the documentation is available and applicable for the commissioning stage of each stand-alone system. Specifically ensuring that the technical documentation is applicable to the integration among the several systems of the Project and provide adequate amendments if and when required at documentation level. - Presence of skilled Commissioning and testing teams in order to fulfil the activity with full respect of Time and Quality. A Level 3 schedule for the commissioning activities is prepared before the commissioning activities based upon plant requirements and Client overall schedule. -
