Job Description
I would be interested to hear from senior level planning professionals who have developed a rounded general planning experience with particular focus in retail and town centre development including quantitative analysis.
You will have to demonstrate a sound understanding of retail capacity assessments and retail impact studies as this will be a key part of the team?s activities.
You will head up a team of five planners (three at senior level) who look after London based commercial and retail clients working on large scale A1 projects as well as several A3 schemes. Advising on such schemes will be required as will co-ordinating inputs of other team members. You will also be required to prepare planning appraisals of land, buildings and concepts and will also be expected to contribute to the setting of strategy, and team building
You will have responsibility in overseeing the preparation of planning applications, including planning statements and will contribute to the preparation of Design & Access statements, sustainability statements, and other planning supporting documents.
Building relationships will be a key aspect of the role as you will liaise and negotiate with planning officers, employees of consultative organisations and third parties. Therefore, an ability to liaise and develop good relationships with clients must be shown.
