My client is looking for a Technical Service & Facilities Officer that would be able to become a knowledge worker in the following areas --
·Site evaluation Visit highway locations and off highway sites to judge constraints and current facilities. Record site information in a manner that others can understand the outcome of the visit.
·Provide technical directions to contractors Guide contractors and others in writing and verbally about the specifics of equipment and equipment positioning. Write project briefs Exposure to Health and Safety is desirable. CDM experience is ideal. Involvement with cctv or similar equipment installation and maintenance is ideal.
·Evaluate technical options Write requirements specifications. Study both of proposals before design, and at sites as part of preliminary and installation design. Investigate limitations of equipment, and pros and cons found by others. Knowledge and experience of cameras, video, TV, or similar is desirable. Involvement with cctv selection is ideal.
·Prioritise work across projects A general understanding of ¨ estimating work needed, ¨ project stages (conception, design, plan, allocate, build, deliver, support), and ¨ project processes (consult, design, specify, authorise, procure, install, maintain) is needed to effectively participate in delivery of service improvements and expansion.
·Liaise with other members of the Technical Teams, Engineering, and External Stakeholders. Communication with groups within CCTV for the council and also deal with; TfL, the ALG, maintenance providers, and the police.
