Job Description
Petro-Canada require a Technical Analyst to join their London based Drilling Team.
Reporting directly to the Global Drilling Manager you will support Petro-Canada's International Business Unit Drilling Group in order to achieve it's business plan priorities, through providing a professional technical support service. Your accountabilities will include;
- Drilling Management systems - responsibility for orientation of new Consultants hired - covering Total Loss Management, "PROACT", Information Management Systems, Daily Drilling Report, alliance management, AFE reporting (training will be provided to ensure thorough knowledge base to enable this) - Chase & draw to conclusion the actions arising from PROACT accident reporting and TLM - Act as an "enabler" in relationships between Drilling function and Service Companies - Data analysis to produce daily drilling reports / management reports - Analyse performance of Service Companies - summarizing Rig and Well activity and identifying problem areas - Take the initiative for producing bi-weekly newsletter from the Drilling function - Process and co-ordinate information/communication flow around the Global Drilling function, other departments and companies internally and externally - To represent the General Manager in internal and external contacts and fulfil the role of liaison point for external visitors. - Sourcing of reference materials and data as required
Candidates should have excellent organisational, analytical and administrative skills with advanced knowledge of MS Office applications. A flexible attitude to working hours and managing work loads to strict deadlines is essential, as is self motivation and strong communication (fluent in English) and interpersonal skills. Previous experience from an E&P Oil Company would be advantageous but is not essential.
