Job Description
My client seeks a Structural CAD Technician to join their thriving, Architectural, Civil and Structural Team in Nottinghamshire. Due to high project workload and a strong pipeline of commissions this company is expanding their Structures Team and are in need of an additional structural CAD Technician.
With a relevant qualification in place you will have gained prior experience within the Structural Engineering sector. Your experience to date will enable you to complete a range of structural drawings which will ideally include RC and steel detailed drawings.
Reporting to the Senior Engineer you will prepare drawings for buildings, structures, infrastructure and transportation aspects of projects, (main area of expertise should be structures). You will produce, check and issue drawings and information, including reports and schedules and submit schemes for planning, listed building and building regulation approval. This is a diverse role and you will be encouraged to undertake site surveys, inspections and investigations for projects and will assist in the preparation of health and safety information; including method statements and risk assessments.
It is an excellent opportunity to broaden your horizons and undertake a role which will enable you to further develop as a CAD Technician, exposing you to all aspects of a design scheme. This role will require you to utilise the Revit software system and they will provide you with a 3 day course in Nottingham and in-house support sessions, therefore Revit experience is not essential for the role.
