Job Description
Due to an increase in work, our client, a leading rail contractor is seeking to employ a Site Engineer to be based out of their Newport Rail office and working in the surrounding areas.
The client is responsible for the Minor Works Rail Framework within the area (civil engineering works on bridges, structures, retaining walls, drainage, embankments etc), and you would be responsible for providing accurate surveying, setting out, measurement and control of contract works.
You will undertake all of the usual duties expected in such a role, such as ensuring site engineering is carried out in a professional manner, recording of a site diary, taking off and ordering materials, monitoring and control of wastage etc.
You will hold a relevant qualification, degree, HNC, ONC or equivalent or compensating experience, as well experience undertaking a similar role. You will also hold a CSCS site supervisors/managers card if possible.
