Job Description
Our client a leading contractor require a Site Engineer to manage a recently awarded project. The scheme includes approximately 10km of single carriageway, 9 bridges (one over a railway), several culverts, approximately 1,000,000 cu.m of excavation and filling (including a cutting over an existing railway tunnel), remediation of a redundant land fill site and provisional of a park and ride facility. Our client will develop the design prepared for the planning application and, subject to completion of all approvals, will undertake construction of the works under an NEC target cost reimbursable contract. The construction value is 45 million.
Degree level qualification in a Civil Engineering allied subject or HND in Civil Engineering and vocational training in Engineering Understanding of Engineering Principles Knowledge and Understanding of construction contract law and forms of contract through experience and formal training. Extensive technical knowledge of construction techniques and best practices. Computer competence (MS Word, Excel, Document control system, Primavera software). Relevant CSCS Card Training in Health & Safety and Environmental management
Desirable: Degree in Civil Engineering MICE Computer competence (Sypol COSHH database, SSPS Intranet database) Vocational Training (successful experience at Sub Agent level)
