Job Description
Our client is a Multi Disciplinary contractor is seeking to employ a Site Agent to be based in Scotland. You will be working on build and civil engineering projects on rail infrastructure and you will be responsible for managing, supervising and mentoring the project team and will maintain good working relationships with clients and the supply chain to encourage repeat business. You will also establish, maintain and monitor an effective, programme based cost management system to facilitate control. Part of the role is also to ensure that method statements and risk assessments are prepared, briefed, reviewed and up-dated and to ensure that all records for measurement and payment purposes are prepared promptly in the appropriate format. As the person in charge of the site it will be your responsibility to ensure that the work is pushed forward, but also to ensure that all H&S regulations are adhered to.
It is essential that you will have successfully managed a section of a major project, or acted as sub-agent on a similar project with a thorough knowledge of policy and relevant government legislation and a working knowledge of construction techniques and contract law relevant to construction contracts. HND/Degree in civil engineering or a related field or equivalent. ICE Chartered level would be a distinct advantage.
