Job Description
SHEQ COORDINATOR, NORTH WEST COMPANY: My client is an Electrical Engineering company who offer a wide variety of bespoke control systems & specialise in electrical installation & M&E design. PROJECTS: They offer a complete service in management, design, manufacture, testing, installation & commissioning of electrical & mechanical control equipment & process instrumentation for industrial & commercial applications. PURPOSE OF THE ROLE: * A SHEQ is required to undertake the management of health, safety, environmental & quality procedures within the group companies. On a permanent basis, reporting directly to the SHEQ Director, you will undertake all administration, assessment, auditing & sourcing of information within the companies. * Organisation, enthusiasm & excellent communication skills are a necessity, along with a working knowledge of current HSE regulations & issues within the engineering industry. * An element of site management will be required along with carrying out safety talks & audits. Training of individuals & staff are also an essential part of this role. JOB SPECIFICATION: * Research & sourcing of information * Collating & inputting data * Updating company regulations, policies & procedures * Administration of COSHH substances * Collating record files * Updating confidential staff information * Completing risk assessments & method statements * Liaising with safety representatives / Management team/ Site foreman/workshop foreman & SHEQ Director. * PPE checks * Preparing reports as required * Preparation for management system assessment * Site assessments / inspections * Auditing & assessing * Management of training & presentations * Any other duties deemed necessary QUALIFICATIONS: * Min NEBOSH Certificate Health & Safety * Working towards / gained Grad IOSH EXPERIENCE & SKILLS: * Must have knowledge of health, safety & environmental issues within an engineering background.
