Job Description
Our client, an award winning, engineering and management services consultancy are looking for a senior transport planner for a long term secondment into one of their client's offices.
This, prominent organisation have an established history with Local Authority clients in the North West and across the UK and this work is part of a 3 year contract to provide transport planning consultancy services to a major county council.
Working alongside other engineers/consultants and supporting Council officers in the Traffic and Safety Policy Group this role will include working on a range of projects from the evaluation of major schemes to local traffic and transport studies. Candidates will be seconded into the client office for the remaining period of the consultancy contract up to Summer 2010 (there is potential for a one-year extension to the contract).
The successful candidate will have experience in one or more of the following;
Transportation modelling Economic appraisal and operational evaluation of transport projects Production of traffic and transportation studies and reports Public Consultation/Exhibition
