Job Description
Due to substantial growth in business an opportunity has been created for a qualified town planner with relevant post qualification experience to provide professional and technical support to the existing planning team. This role will be based in Birmingham and will also support further growth of the business there.
You should have a good working knowledge of the planning system with the ability and capacity to work both independently and as part of a team and preferably have some experience of dealing with clients, the public, local authorities, consultancies and other agencies. Experience in development control planning and the Local Development Framework system is essential and knowledge of Environmental Impact Assessments, SEA and SA, and/or minerals and waste.
A Member of the Royal Town Planning Institute you must demonstrate a good knowledge of planning law and procedures with experience in statutory planning, including the co-ordination and negotiation of planning applications. You should be able to demonstrate the ability to work alongside and co-ordinate a range of technical specialists providing input into planning submissions. Possess good communication skills, with ability to draft reports to a high standard.
