Job Description
There is new requirement for a qualified and experienced senior town planner to join their planning and design team in Birmingham. Work will include project management, planning applications, site appraisals, LDF research projects and the co-ordination of multi-disciplinary teams. Alongside existing projects, the candidate will be expected to shape future workload through business development activities.
The successful candidate will report to the Birmingham planning team leader and will be expected to work closely with colleagues in their transport planning and environment teams, as well as with planning colleagues in other offices (notably in Derby and Handforth).
Previous consultancy experience is preferred, and the candidate must be able to demonstrate an up to date knowledge of planning, as well as excellent written and presentation skills. A track record in project management is essential and the candidate must be communicative and self-motivated.
