Job Description
A Structural Engineer is required by a multi-disciplinary Engineering Consultancy. My client's Structural Team is currently engaged in a wide range of projects, varying in size and nature from commercial and residential developments to educational and complex industrial facilities. The service they provide to clients ranges from concept through to construction stage and as part of the Project Team you will be responsible for the design of buildings or facilities structures and works, managing you own projects and providing technical leadership to a small team.
Your duties will require you to complete scheme, preliminary and detailed design of steel, reinforced concrete, timber and masonry structures using hand calculations and computer analysis packages. Able to evidence good, all round technical expertise including calculation, design and drawing preparation, you will be able to undertake concept and detailed design with minimal technical guidance, providing mentoring to other team members as required. Additionally you will be responsible for attending site and client meetings, client relationship management, inspections, project management and site visits.
