A Quantity Surveyor or Senior Quantity Surveyor is required by our client to work on the £445 million M74 completion project..
The Role: As Quantity Surveyor you will be responsible for the preparation of commercial information for the site team necessary to achieve commercial success and implement the appropriate tasks stemming from this. Main priority is to make sure that projects meet legal and quality standards.
Remuneration: " Up to £50,000 per annum depending upon experience " BUPA " Car/car allowance " Pension " Life assurance
The project will serve the regeneration of the south and east of Glasgow, Rutherglen and Cambuslang, and be delivered in good time for the Commonwealth Games in Glasgow in 2014.] Together, the team is responsible for the design and construction of the largest ever road construction scheme to be carried out in Scotland - the £445 million M74 Completion project. When complete at the end of 2011, the new 8km motorway extension will significantly reduce congestion on the busiest stretch of the M8 through Glasgow.
Requirements: " MSc/BSc or HND in Quantity Surveying or other equivalent construction related subject " Previous experience with highways & roads/civil's is essential for this role " Preferably qualified to ICES or RICS accreditation " Knowledge of the procurement of sub contractors and the monthly measurement cycle associated with this. " You will be working in a team of surveyors and project managers and therefore should be confident to work autonomously, having the experience to work freely within the office or on-site.
