Job Description
Senior Quantity Surveyor job - Rail, London Our client is a world leader in the Project Management, Design, Installation and Testing and Commissioning of complex railway infrastructure projects. They have an excellent training structure leading to career progression for those willing to accept the challenges of management.
" A working knowledge of the provisions of various forms of construction industry contracts. " Manage change control systems by identification, notification, presentation and negotiation of additional items. " Input into the management of project risk. " Manage and present documentation to support quarterly Cost to Complete exercises and monthly profit/loss operating statements together with an explanation for any variances. " Development, preparation and commercial management of sub-contract orders from initial enquiry to agreement of final accounts. " Able to provide commercial advice to the Project team. " Manage the resolution of disputes and have an understanding of Alternative Dispute resolution procedures. " Similarly develop a team ethic that allows good communication with other members of the Project Team, including engineers, supervisors, accountants and administration staff and other commercial staff. " Significant contribution to the Corporate marketing, tendering and contract review processes.
The successful candidates will have previous experience of working in a contracting commercial department to allow for the development of expertise in the key areas. Ideally you will have a working knowledge of construction industry conditions of contract and be inquisitive about railway technology.
