Job Description
Our client is one of the UK's leading contractors who are renowned for the delivery of key projects on time and in budget. They are managing many projects for the UK's Rail Infrastructure which includes the Victoria Line Upgrade, Kings Cross redevelopment, Cross Rail and the DLR.
As the Senior Quantity Surveyor you will be based on the project site with a commercial team in Central London.
Job role: o Efficiently direct and manage the Quantity Surveying and Commercial activities to meet the Project objectives, including providing advice, guidance and support on such matters to the Project team both during the pre-construction & construction phases o Review risks at every stage of the construction process and provide input into the live risk register. o Reporting is to include monthly cost and value analysis, end cost and value forecasts, material and other reconciliations o Close out projects promptly including preparing any autopsies or detailed analysis necessary to produce a close-out report or feedback to estimators o Provide input into the conduct of any dispute resolution procedures such as arbitration and litigation
You must have extensive experience in Project Quantity Surveying and/or Commercial Management of the construction process. Must be prepared where necessary to work in a local project office and be able to respond 'rapidly' and effectively to the business and client needs.
