Job Description
Our client is a very successful regional contractor coming up to their 30th year of establishment. Their main customers are within the rail and airport sector. They pride themselves on high staff retention and joining them now could not be a better time. The have continuous growth and forward orders in excess of £100m.
They are seeking Senior Quantity Surveyors within their rail division. You will be working on their maintenance contract for Network Rail. The projects will consist of small civil engineering works including drainage, earthworks and RC bridges. You will be responsible for subcontract procurement, payments, variations, valuations and forecasts, cost and value reconciliation, cost reporting and handling claims.
The ideal candidate will have obtained a minimum of a HNC in Quantity Surveying and have experience in the role of a Quantity Surveyor. Or perhaps you haven't been to university but have gained all of your knowledge by experience. Working for a Main Contractor with a Civil Engineering bias would be advantageous.
