Senior Quantity Surveyor job - main contractor
My client is seeking to recruit a Senior Quantity Surveyor who are able to manage design and build projects up to £40million. The ideal candidate will possess extensive knowledge of education and health projects and have a proven track record with recognisable main contractors, as well as a Degree or similar qualification. Candidates that are RICS accredited or have the MCIOB qualification would be preferred.
This role is based on site in Essex (inside M25) and will be leading a team of four other Quantity Surveyors on the new build £60million education project. Reporting into a roving Managing Quantity Surveyor, you will have full autonomy on site.
Your duties would include, but not be restricted to: Carrying out monthly valuations of work in progress, including forecasting of final costs. Preparation and monitoring of project cash flow forecasts. Measuring, valuation, submit and negotiate contract variations. Preparing to submit and negotiate project final accounts. Commercial vetting of sub contractor tenders and contracts. Preparation and assist in the negotiation of sub-contractors final accounts. Ensuring business commercial processes are adhered to at project level. Advise on procurement issues. Assist with cost and risk management. Provide site management with commercial support and advice
