Job Description

Senior Planner Main Contractor.

Our client is a regional contractor who specialise in Education, Health, Airports, Leisure and Prisons with project values ranging from £2m - £25m

They are looking to recruit a Senior Planner with a strong solid background in main contracting, with experience of Microsoft Power Project, excellent communication skills and have previous experience of pre tender planning.

Your key responsibilities will be but not limited to the following:
" Prepare programmes and analyse bid information
" Prepare detailed reports for use by the bid team
" Produce programmes using the most recent information available stating assumptions and updating as the design development evolves.
" Ensure a consistency of realistic, achievable programming
" Promote, advise and support the pre-construction team
" Anticipate problems and facilitate imaginative and realistic solutions
" Assist project teams and individuals top raise their planning skills and the use of the software.
" Challenge and question the existing 'norm' embracing change
" Provide realistic monthly updates on programmes and pre-construction programmes.
" Meet deadlines without the need for prompting
" Provide guidance and training to others.
