Job Description
Senior Planner job - main contractor
My client is a regional main contractor based in North London and they are currently seeking to recruit a Senior Planner to join their existing team.
The ideal candidate will have previous experience of working for a main contractor on new build and refurbishment projects from £5-20million, design and build as well as traditional tender and framework agreements would be advantageous. This contractor work within a number of sectors that include health, education, leisure, commercial, retail, industrial, airports and public sector, including MOD.
The key responsibilities will be but not limited to the following: " Prepare programmes and analyse bid information " Prepare detailed reports for use by the bid team " Produce programmes using the most recent information available stating assumptions and updating as the design development evolves. " Ensure a consistency of realistic, achievable programming " Promote, advise and support the pre-construction team " Anticipate problems and facilitate imaginative and realistic solutions " Assist project teams and individuals to raise their planning skills and the use of the software. " Challenge and question the existing 'norm' embracing change " Provide realistic monthly updates on programmes and pre-construction programmes. " Meet deadlines without the need for prompting " Provide guidance and training to others
