Job Description
.Facilities Manager Required in Southampton.
An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Facilities Manager to be based out of Southampton on a prestigious project.
A public sector client, based in Hampshire has a requirement for a Facilities Manager to undertake a 12 month contract. The client is being extremely flexible in regards to whether this post is filled by one candidate who is looking for full time work or 2 candidates who would be interested in doing 2-3 days a week. This project is a brilliant opportunity for both permanent candidates and interim candidates as the contract is for a minimum of 12 months and could well become on going.
Duties include: Produce a new FM delivery programme. Providing effective interface between our client and the affiliated organisation To liaise with the legal department to review and set up various contracts including cleaning, security, catering etc. Dealing with Tenders Contract Negotiation Procurement There will also be a large degree of hard services management, overseeing contractors carrying out building maintenance work. Implement/Oversee a cost benefit analysis program to increase value for money eg, multi skilling staff, increasing the DLO, employing contractors to carry out works.
The ideal candidate will have experience of working within the public sector preferably within an NHS environment alternatively a local authority, university etc
Qualifications: A formal qualification in a relevant discipline e.g. HNC/HND/BIFM
