Job Description
Exciting opportunity for a Senior Geophysicist to join the UKCS Business Unit of an international oil company as it moves it's focus from non-operator to operator.

Our client, one of Europe's leading suppliers of oil and gas requires a Senior Geophysicist to join their existing team owing to continued growth and success within the UKCS. Based out of their Central London office, the purpose of the position is to provide;

Exploration and appraisal evaluation of new and existing assets
Technical evaluation of exploration, development and production projects focussed on UKCS Atlantic - Margin and CNS HPHT with a special focus on seismic sequence interpretation, map generation and depth conversion
Undertake regional study analysis for new venture growth
Company technical representation at operated and JV partner meetings.

Key responsibilities will include;

Geophysical interpretation focussed on appraisal and exploration assets in UK and Ireland Atlantic Margin and CNS HPHT arenas, primarily on operated ventures
Representation of company at operated and non-operated technical meetings
Map generation, Depth Conversion, Prospect Volumetric Estimation and Risk Analysis
Preparation of Peer review presentations
Functional support for new and existing business from exploration to production
Input into operated work programmes and budgets
Assistance in drilling planning process

Key indicators of success;

Addition of drillable prospects
Timely delivery of reports and evaluations
Completion of Peer Reviews/Assists
Reporting and recommendation fulfilment

Highly motivated and willing to make an impact, the ideal candidate will have a higher Degree (MSc/PhD in Geoscience or equivalent) with extensive geophysical experience in the oil industry preferably with an operating oil company. Candidates should have strong integrated geo-science skills with a focus on seismic interpretation and seismic sequence Stratigraphy.
