Job Description
Our client, a leading civil engineering contractor, currently requires a Senior Estimator for its ongoing framework project at BAA's major London airports. Project information:
To bid manage the production of an agreed negotiated target cost in conjunction with the Estimating Manager & The Client, to include all construction activities, project specific costs and identifiable risk allowances.
Main duties & responsibilities: " Compile accurate Targets. " Ensure accurate abstraction of quantities and scope for the Target. " Store & record all Project data. " Produce supply chain enquires and evaluate. " Benchmark all Targets against previous similar Projects. " Present the Target to Senior Management for final sign-off. " Produce Standard Format Target Handover files, including conducting handover to Operations Team. " Issue Project Cost Codes to Project Administrator and QS. " Ensure Target compliance with current specifications. " Achieve compliance with all Commercial procedures. " Identify process improvements and propose modifications. " Identify any weakness in process and suggest improvements.
Skills/ experience required " Proven experience in estimating is expected along with previous use of CCS Estimating Software. Previous knowledge of CSS / Candy Estimating system is highly desirable.
