Job Description
Our client, a market leader requires a Senior Estimator to work on prestigious water projects from its East Sussex office. Preparation of tenders from receipt of documents through to the presentation at Tender settlement and Tender submission Sourcing and the technical and commercial appraisal of material and subcontractor quotations, preparation of analytical estimates including the pricing of all work disciplines and on costs. Should have an appreciation of various forms of contracts and possess the ability to prepare various types of Tenders from bills of quantity, specifications & drawings. Properly control and register the administration of Tender Documents. Submission document preparation. Post Tender and Tender stage value engineering and risk management. Candidates should be civil construction engineers with substantial experience and good knowledge of construction solutions and temporary works. They should be able to at least hold their own in a collaborative design and construct multi-discipline team working environment. They should have several years experience in estimating and be able to display a good knowledge of cost base. They should be able to undertake and complete a "first principles" estimate for all civil elements of a scheme generally up to £5.0 million value both direct and indirect costs. Familiarity with modern computerised estimating systems and good Excel skills are highly desirable. Knowledge of Water Industry and familiarity with CCS Computerised Estimating System an advantage.
Candidate must have Civil Estimating experience - not Housing / Building / Refurbishment etc
