An opportunity has arisen for a Senior Building Surveyor to join the Building Consultancy department of a leading property consultancy based in London, Soho working on various commercial and retail projects.
Drawing on the skills of 185 people throughout the United Kingdom, dedicated teams are assembled for all projects requiring more than one specialism. Individuals with specific knowledge and expertise are brought together from throughout the organisation to achieve their clients' objectives.
Our Client operates a strategic network of 7 offices in the UK, offering clients: value and cost-effectiveness, dedicated specialist teams, local and national perspective, creative informed decisions, tailored solutions, unrivalled industry knowledge, consistent performance and delivery and specialist global advice.
Roles and responsibilities include: " Monitoring and supervision of building works and existing structures for compliance with regulations and bye-laws and client's requirements. " Preparation of specifications. " Administration of statutory provisions relating to buildings, including works failing to comply with regulations and byelaws. " Submission and negotiations of proposals to local authorities and local planning authorities. " Preparation of contract documents. " Tendering and evaluation. " Contract administration, valuation and certification. " Performance of duties not specifically listed above but which may reasonably be expected of a competent Chartered Building Surveyor.
Work is 90% professional services and 10% project work.
The ideal candidate will have a BSc in Building Surveying and MRICS with good communication skills and report writing skills be fully computer-literate and have the ability to develop business and client relationships
