Our client is a leading international multi-disciplinary engineering, science and technology consultancy offering a broad range of services, particularly in the environment, energy, defence, shipping and ports and logistics sectors. Due to successfully winning projects, they are looking to for a Project Engineers - Floodplain / Modeller, to work in Melbourne, Victoria. As a Project Engineer - Floodplain / Modeller you will not only be involved in project work regarding flooding, water quality and / or coastal assessments. You will be provided with opportunities for career advancement, excellent benefits and a very competitive salary. You will have up to 5 years relevant industry experience as a Project Engineer - Floodplain / Modeller positions, possess the relevant tertiary qualifications and also have knowledge and experience in ONE or MORE of the following areas:- Hydrologic and hydraulic flood modelling (2D hydraulic modelling experience is highly desirable). Hydrodynamic and water quality modelling (1D, 2D and 3D receiving water) and management. Catchment and cluster scale stormwater management and modelling. Water sensitive urban design, estuary and / or river process and management planning. Coastal and estuary modelling (2D hydrodynamic models and wave models). You will also have a keen interest in identifying, developing and applying leading edge technology and innovative approaches, be capable of undertaking projects with minimal supervision, self-motivated with a desire to advance your existing skills and capable of working well within a team environment. Knowledge of GIS techniques and software applications including programming languages would be a distinct advantage.
