London Borough looking for a suitably qualified Principal Engineer with relevant experience related to the role, working in a managerial position in a Local Government setting. The suitable candidate needs an extensive and professional knowledge of traffic management and parking and is required to lead, manage and direct a team in the delivery of high quality transport planning services.
You will be responsible for one or more of the transport service areas set out below:
" Public transport, including bus priorities " Parking " Traffic and road safety engineering " Policy and programmes " Development and Travel planning
The successful applicant will be required to attend meetings representing the section, while reporting to the Group Leader (Highway Networks).
The ability to demonstrate experience of personnel and financial management, political awareness and sensitivity would be beneficial.
This role requires an excellent communicator with the ability to present complex issues to a wide audience. You must be a highly motivated team player and possess the ability to prioritise, organise and undertake their duties with minimal supervision.
