Job Description
Lead Project Planner required for an £180million re-development scheme for schools across the West Midlands. This scheme will consist of various refurbishments and new build projects over the next ten years.
The location of these sites will be Erdington, Perry Barr and Handsworth with the head office in Birmingham City Centre.
The senior planner on the project taking overall responsibility for all technical aspects of planning and programming plus providing practical input and knowledge with the rest of the team into the establishment and agreement of project plan and programmes. The role will entail knowledge and responsibilities under the following headings:
It is essential you have detailed knowledge of the Contract Obligations with specific regard to:
" Proficient in the use of a wide range of computerised planning & costing tools - Primavera (P3/5/6) preferred but not essential " Knowledge of spreadsheets and word processing packages " Good communication skills " Familiarity with all aspects and phases of the project lifecycle " Knowledge of planning procedures " Relevant previous experience in Building/Construction " Some design, management, procurement and commissioning experience is desirable
