Job Description
The main purpose of this Mechanical Building Services Managers role is to; Liaise and co-ordinate mechanical engineering activities with all contracts, ensuring the provision of a high quality, cost effective and safe mechanical engineering service to all contracts. Advise on proposed changes to legislation and working practices affecting mechanical building systems. Provide advice to sites on energy management and efficiency in plant and buildings and too take an active part in assisting the sites with energy related issues. Provide, at management level, expertise on all aspects of mechanical engineering, plant equipment and services, performance assessments, fault finding, rectification and operational improvements. Main duties and responsibilities shall include, but not be limited to; the provision of technical support and advice to projects and EFM management on mechanical and energy related matters, comment upon design functionality and suitability from the FM perspective, input into the development of standard specifications and FM works and management of agreed engineering related safe systems. You will be required to attend interface, design, contractor and technical meetings in relation to a project, establish and maintain good working relationships and excellent levels of communication with the companies FM team, the Client and the users. The ideal candidate will have previously held the position of a Mechanical/Engineering/Technical/Asset Manager. Must hold a degree in Engineering/ Building Services (or similar field) and preferably hold a CIBSE Qualification.
