Job Description
Our client, a leading Civil Engineering main contractor currently requires a Managing Quantity Surveyor for its Thames Water Framework project based from Poplar, East London. Job Purpose To provide thorough monitoring of designated contracts performance in relation to financial and contractual matters, in accordance with the Company's policies and procedures, and provide the required management control/support to ensure the team performance operates at the highest possible standard. Principle Duties & Accountabilities Assist in the preparation of budget ITC for each DMA and to ensure actual cost and progress is aligned. Ensure that supply chain and in-house resources are procured within budget. Provide CVR's and MI on each DMA in compliance with company procedures and timescales. Action promptly all supply chain invoices, accounts and contractual issues. Provide Client with appropriate information and ensure client's systems are updated as required. Advise Commercial Manager of any contractual issues that you are aware of, either between our client or between our client and our supply chain. Work closely with the operational teams to ensure performance targets are achieved. Develop a sound working relationship with client and supply chain. Measure productivity performance of directly paid employees against cost. Highlight areas of concern and opportunity. Provide contractual guidance to the team members. Understand/manage all aspects of planning processes/procedures. Provide technical knowledge supporting quality delivery to operations. Provide suitable MI to support the required commercial performance. Identify/promote management of change to support continued development. Promote a compliant safe working environment. Knowledge/Skills/Qualifications Required Significant experience as a Quantity Surveyor Experience of managing/developing a team
