Job Description
Due to the awarding of a new framework contract, our client, a major Rail contractor is seeking to employ a Managing Quantity Surveyor to be based within their newly established Derby office.
You will be working on a 5 year framework contract involved in the maintenance and refurbishment of properties within the Network Rail Infrastructure along the East Coast Main Line.
You will have a strong commercial background ideally with some of this experience gained within the rail industry, however a general background in construction within a major contractor is acceptable. You will be responsible for managing and delivering the effective on site cost management of the framework, reporting directly to the Commercial Manager.
You will hold a HNC/HND or equivalent and will be familiar with contract conditions, have an understanding of the project planning process and an understanding of management systems.
