Job Description
My client is looking for Part3 or Part 4 Landscape Architects to work out of their North West or Merseyside offices. The role will be to assist the Landscape section with the provision of the landscape design and contract management services, to support the general activities of the trust and to participate as part of the Projects team to bring about environmental regeneration.
This role will include, but is not limited to: - Assisting in the preparation of feasibility studies and project briefs - Production of outline and sketch designs and cost estimates for a wide range of clients - Provision of advice on design, health and safety, technical or contractual matters to clients, partners and internal staff - Work on the preparation of detailed designs, specifications, working drawings, bills of quantities, risk assessments and other documentation necessary to implement projects through to final account stage. - Assistance with tender procedures, initiation and management of contracts using the JCLI Forms of Agreement.
Key Work Areas are: School Grounds Improvements, Community led Landscape improvements/ public open space enhancements, Children's play areas and park improvements, Woodland establishment projects, particularly in Forest areas, Business boundary improvements and Industrial site improvements, including a number of commercial commissions.
You will be at least Part 3 qualified and have knowledge and practical application of relevant Health and Safety, Planning and Environmental Legislation. You will also have at least 1 years relevant work experience, be able to design from sketch level to working drawings and be able to produce cost estimates. It is also essential that you have good communication and presentation skills; written, graphic and verbal, good IT skills including AutoCAD, Word, Excel and graphics packages. A driving licence is also essential.
