Job Description
Our client, an international consultancy, is looking for an IT Support Engineer to join their support team based from their Northampton Offices.
The successful candidate will work as part of the UK Service Delivery Team and will work alongside other support professionals. You will find yourself dealing with issues raised to the internal helpdesk, as well as escalating issues to 3rd line when necessary.
You will be responsible for providing both desktop and remote support services and must be confident in dealing with server and networking issues as they arise.
The ideal candidate should have prior experience within an IT Support role and must be confident in dealing with people at all levels of a business with varying technical skills. You must have very strong technical skills and have a good understanding of Servers (Windows 2003) and Networking configuration and hardware.
You will be working within a Microsoft orientated environment and so it is important that you have a good level of understanding and practical knowledge of Microsoft products within an Active Directory environment including Outlook. You should be confident working with clients and users.
The successful candidate will have an excellent level of customer service skills and be keen to learn new skills, keeping up with technological advances. You must have a full driving licence.
