Job Description

INTERNATIONAL HIGHWAYS PROJECT MANAGER

My client is looking to recruit an enthusiastic and ambitious project manager to be based in Surrey to help lead the expansion of the international highways and infrastructure work in the Middle East, Ireland and Eastern Europe.
The ideal candidate will be a chartered engineer with considerable international experience in the highways and infrastructure markets and a track record in business development and bidding. My client would also welcome applications from less experienced candidates who may be newly chartered, with limited international and business development experience, but with a strong interest in these areas. The role will require considerable networking with colleagues in the UK and abroad, as well as liaison with clients; managing bids and projects; and writing bids and reports.
Reporting to the UK Technical Director for International Projects, the Project Manager will be involved with major international highway and infrastructure projects and be responsible for:
- project management
- technical input to projects
- business development
- management and preparation of bids
